This is just another typical day in Arizona. It's also how I like to spend my time over the weekend. I love hiking and watching people riding horse in the desert. This photo is nothing special other than a long distance shot. It was taken many years ago with my old digital camera Nikon D70S. There is no HDR special effect! … [Read more...]
Little Beauty vs Monster Cactus
It's been a while since I post my last photo "Jack In The Car" few weeks ago. I have been extremely busy and haven't got chance to grab my Canon 7D for fun. So I dig into my old photos and found this one. I kind of like Tilt-Shift Effect in many of my photos. The cactus is tall, but it isn't that tall. With a little touch, this photo shows totally different perspective. This photo was taken at the go Dutchman hiking trail in Mesa, AZ. It's … [Read more...]

Orange Puzzle
Finally, I got something different on this blog since I spent too much time processing my travel photos and beach photos. This is my last photo of my Caribbean Cruise Trip. I took this photo at Tamp Airport's Hotel Lobby. This is also the end of my vacation for the first half of 2011. It's time to plan the next trip for the second half of 2011.The mirror looks like a never solved puzzle. No matter where you look at it from, you can always see … [Read more...]

You Are Not Alone – A Lonely Boat In The Ocean
This is my second shot of Lonely Boat since a long time ago. This photo has not been modified or retouched. It's an actually border patrol boat to guard the place and watching our cruise ship leaving the harbor. It definitely demonstrates how big the ocean is and how small we are. … [Read more...]
Sunset On Horizon
Really. I am not a big fan of taking sunset or sunrise photos. First of all, there is chance that the sun light will hurt the digital camera sensor badly. It's also hard to capture the right moment and color. This one isn't as bad as I thought. Of course, it has to be HDR in order to show more details and colors.Since it was taken on a moving ship, it was not easy to hold camera steady. Glad that Photomatix Pro solve the problem … [Read more...]
The Ene Of The Line
This is the last photo of Mahogany Bay Roatan, where we left the colorful ghost town behind. The Rain is coming our way and we just left at the right time. You can see there is another cruise ship (Carnival Glory) in front of us at the end of the horizon line. This place is beautiful and newly opened for Carnival cruise line. The nearby airport is about 4-6 hours drive, so the easy way to get here is by cruise. We took our zip-line excursion here … [Read more...]
Let It Rain
The dark cloud moved in while we were leaving the Mahogany Bay Roatan. I took many shots of this scene and finally came up with two different images. I kind of like the second one more, but I think I can make it even more dynamic when I know more about HDR image and Photomatix Pro.Camera: Canon 7DSoftware: Photoshop, Photomatix Pro … [Read more...]
Oasis In The Ocean
We were leaving the Ghost Town At Mahogany Bay Roatan and this little oasis isn't too far away. I like the color combination and it does show much more dynamic color and the rain in the far distance after processing it into HDR image. … [Read more...]
