Showcase Architecture Photography

Well. One of the reason Maui is so beautiful is their micro-weather. You can enjoy the sun shine and storm in same day. We stay at the resort in city of Kihei near the beach. There is not much too see at night and the restaurants are NOT so good either. We did catch the storm at night after dinner. The sky looks like it’s the end of the world.

Of course, they are HDR photos. Honestly, There is not single restaurant that is good for us. Lots taco shops. I don’t think people living there care about their cooking. They are probably just make living so they can surfing when they are free. Even the coffee shop there has so-so coffee.

I know you may laugh at me, but the first thing we did on the first day after we land at Maui, Hawaii is to find out where the shopping mall is located and how the 1% live on the island. So we can decide where to eat and where to get started on our vacation. The shops at Wailea is located at the south west side of Wailea-Makena on the island. It has most of the luxury brand you can name. Tiffany & Co., Gucci and many more. It’s funny that we were the only few people hang out at the luxury mall, while there is no other people around.

These are my newest edition of HDR photography, which I kind of over process them. I am sure next time, I can do better job.

Honestly, I like how the color turns out to be.

We were waiting at the hotel lobby for our room to move in. It was a cold day at Flagstaff AZ, but the lobby is very warm with red furniture. We had great time staying there for 3 days. You can find more Flagstaff AZ HDR photos such as Golden Flatgstaff, national monuments and more.

I have to say that I’ve learned a lot about HDR and indoor photography. It’s probably not my favorite photography, but definitely interesting.

I am always amazed by those street graffiti. This one is no exception. Found this Face Wall in Flagstaff downtown. There is another Face Wall in San Francisco.

This is how I spent my Christmas alone. I went to the Talking Stick Casino in Scottsdale, AZ. It’s a very nice hotel and I was able to take some photos at the sunny day. Too bad that I wasn’t able to get up to the Orange Sky on 24th floor to see their fine restaurant and the balcony view, which is what this hotel is famous for. You can also fine my other Christmas decoration in Las Vegas.

It’s also unbelievable that their Christmas Buffet is $42 per adult without any crab leg or unusual sea food. It’s kind of rip off though. However, the line was long. So I went home to cook my own healthier dinner. 🙂 I am thinking to go back for a night shot!

Really. I have not proud with this HDR photo. I took this photos the Phoenix Women Expo along with the Red Dress In Red. This is a perfect example of me to practice the Photomatix and Photoshop layer. It looks like a photo done in 3D program. That’s what I was looking for.

Aisle 1100 HDR

Camera: Canon 7D

Software: Photoshop, Photomatix Pro

This photo isn’t so much about HDR. It’s more about the color! While I am learning how to process HDR image, there are something I have to learn. Reduce the noise and sharpen the image is hard without a proper Photoshop plugin or add-on software. However, composition is probably more important than the process itself. If you don’t have a good photo to start with, nothing will be good anyway.

Lamp Under the roof

This photo was taken along with other Cherry Creek Lodge Photos. I specific like the HDR sunset. What do you think?

Finally, I got something different on this blog since I spent too much time processing my travel photos and beach photos. This is my last photo of my Caribbean Cruise Trip. I took this photo at Tamp Airport’s Hotel Lobby. This is also the end of my vacation for the first half of 2011. It’s time to plan the next trip for the second half of 2011.

The mirror looks like a never solved puzzle. No matter where you look at it from, you can always see the lamp and light on the wall. Orange is one of my favorite color.
