Showcase Sunset Photography

Haven’t had a great Sunset photography for sometime. So I took a short trip to the South Mountain in Phoenix to take a look at the beautiful sunset on the cloudy day. Honestly, taking a great sunset photo isn’t easy. I took over 80 shots and only have one come out close to what I want. It’s not even close to real professional sunset photo. I guess I need some extra lens filter for sunset.

I kind of like the rest of photos in HDR. They turn out pretty close to what I want. What do you think?

As much as I love HDR photography, I am not so much about making it unreal. We were stopping at the cross road near Snowbowl ski resort in Flagstaff AZ. I figure this will be a great spot to take some dramatic scene. This is just the beginning of my serial HDR photos in the coming days. It was supposed to snow, but we did not get to see the white Flagstaff. However, we do see the golden Flagstaff.

Are you tired of my Sunset Photos? You can try my Blue Sky or Beach Photos too! Honestly, it’s not an easy job to take the sunset photos. Especially, you are looking at the sun. The following photo are few of my favorite sunset photos, because of the right time and right place in Cherry Creek Ranch in Young AZ.

Here is closer shot with the rainbow and moon. It’s a beautiful day after rain!

This is another Sunset photo shoot at Cherry Creek Ranch in Young AZ. I haven’t had so much luck in the past to see beautiful sunset like this in Arizona. The sky is on fire! This is also a perfect sunset for me to practice the HDR process.

Personally, I like HDR photo that is more realistic. You can see some awesome realistic HDR photos here. Courtesy to Alex Koloskov.

It’s been a while since I post my last photo! It’s time to get back on track. I spent 3 days weekend with wife and friends at Cherry Creek Ranch! It was a great and relax trip. So here is the perfect sunset photo that I like in HDR. I think this is my newest favorite HDR photo I’ve even done! You can see the rain at far distance, which makes the photo a perfect one!

Really. I am not a big fan of taking sunset or sunrise photos. First of all, there is chance that the sun light will hurt the digital camera sensor badly. It’s also hard to capture the right moment and color. This one isn’t as bad as I thought. Of course, it has to be HDR in order to show more details and colors.

Since it was taken on a moving ship, it was not easy to hold camera steady. Glad that Photomatix Pro solve the problem easil

Sunset

Here are two more from the different angle and in Black and White.

I like the black and white. It looks like a scene in the horror movie.
