Showcase Architecture Photography

I have much more respect to the ancient history and culture after seeing this wonderful temple ruin at Belize. The tour guide told us a much different story than the one I saw on discover channel. It was a good hike to the top of the temple and we feel the power of being on top of the entire village. You really feel like a KING of the world.

Belize Xanantunich Maya Temples

Here are the view from the top of the temple.

This is my first Black and White HDR image. I guess it doesn’t need 3 shots to make this one. At least, I got to practice more with the Photomatix Pro. This photo was taken on the way back from Caribbean Cruise Trip at Tampa airport in FL. So you can expect to see more HDR photos from this trip. I specific like the composition of the door. It shows the straight line cross the photo.

White Door

I was going to post this in the next 10 days, since I have scheduled many upcoming posts. I decided to push this earlier and see if I can get any feedbacks from HDR guru. What do you think? Does it make any sense to you?

I don’t always modify the photo like the most HDR Photography photographer does. I specifically like blue sky, which makes me very happy. We visited this church in Mexico as part of our cruise trip. I like to look up a building with blue sky in the background like I did with Las Vegas Ladies and Cactus at lake.

Church in Mexico

One thing I like about this photo is the white sculpture in front of the yellow color church decoration. What do you think?

Jamaica Sculpture

You may already found out that I love Jamaica. I took many photos on my short 8 days 7 nights vacation at Gran Bahia Principe Resort at Runaway Bay, Jamaica! This sculpture is definitely one of the best view points. My hotel room is actually the one on the top left, where I took the Jamaica Night photo.

The sculpture at the secondary lobby room are also beautiful. The sky light coming down from the ceiling make the sculpture a perfect subject. You can also find the Jamaica Video (including nude beach and topless girl) taken by the same camera.

This is a photo in reply to Kristi’s Alternative Perspective of the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. I always like to look up the architecture. Especially, I like take sculptures in Las Vegas. This photo was taken with the very old Sony Cyber 3.3MP (My first digital camera ever) without the tripod in front of Caesars Palace hotel in 2005. I like the golden color lion decoration and the reflection of the light on the black column. I also realize that the photo is has huge noise. I can’t complaint the camera which is the first generation of the point and shoot digital camera.

Las Vegas Caesars Palace

I am going back to take another shot in the future using my Canon 7D and turn that into my new HDR image.

I took the following building in New York in 2004. Can’t remember what the building is.

Look Up New York

Here are some extra photos I took from the same perspective on Flickr. I took them with my Nikon D70S back in 2006, which is my early stage of digital photography.

The first one is the Borders book store on Mill Ave, Tempe, Arizona near Arizona state university.

The second one is an abandon building near ASU A Mountain.

Blue & White

I think I can do much better job to touch up the pictures and make them look cleaner and sharper.

Resort Lobby

My wife and I had a relax afternoon at Tucson’s resort. The lobby is decorated with the red scene which caught my eyes. The light really make the decoration on the wall shinning.
