Finally, in order to give me more power on HDR Landscape photography, I decided to invest on the new wild angle lens. It’s Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens for full frame body and Canon 7D.
This is one of the best wide angle lens I found on the Internet. It’s made by Canon and it’s resall price is almost the same as purchase price 5 years later. So this could be one of my best investment. The lens itself is also more expensive than my Canon 7D body. Ouch!
I know what you think. I actually use this lens to take some photos for my customers for the TV News Interviews.
Just received my Christmas gift of the 2011. Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash is now my newest digital photography gadget and will be in my camera backpack for a long time. Although I haven’t took any portrait photos for sometime, I still like to do it once a while.
This awesome flash light allows me to do much better job without getting the shadow of the object. Especially, it will be very helpful for wedding photography! If you have Canon DSLR, this is a much have add-on to your backpack.
Here is a great example of using flash light properly to take a nice photo of kid who will soon rule the world! The photo was taken using my old Nikon D70S with external flash light. What do you think?
Crap! 7 Days after installing the spam filter, I realize that the filter did not work. People can still skip the quiz question and submit the comment. I believe the plugin isn’t compatible with the W3 Total Cache plugin. So I have removed the spam filter and will deal with the spammer when it comes.
Adding spam filter and hopefully to stop some automated comment bot to insert junk comments. I hope it doesn’t discourage people to leave comment on my blog. A quality comment will be award with quality back link. So if you read this, make sure you don’t spam my blog. It’s just rude to spam people’s hard working blog any way. Got that?
Just learned that I can actually take one RAW image and convert it into DNG file. So I can open the file in Photoshop CS2, which doesn’t support CR2 RAW file from Canon 7D. Thus I can save the RAW image into different images with different exposures and process them in Photomatix Pro. Upgrading Photoshop CS2 to CS5 is just not practical. It’s NOT only expensive, but also over kill.
Just came back from 8 days cruise trip to Caribbean. I had wonderful time with wife. In other words, there will be new photos coming soon. I will also try to process some photos into HDR image. Still learning how to change the setting and options in Photomatix Pro.
I am so glad that I just learned something new today. A friend made a comment on the Mini Federation at Cabo San Lucas photo and let me know the type of photography. It’s called Tilt-Shift Effect. You will find more Tilt-Shift Photography on this blog in the near future.
After launching this photography blog for 3 weeks, I decided to remove the GD Star Rating plugin. I was wondering how I got people to post comments to my blog without actually visiting my blog. I found that GD Star Rating plugin may have a backdoor for hacker or spammer to insert comments or pingback without visiting the page first. So I do NOT recommend anyone to install the plugin.
Finally got my Photomatix Pro license, so I can start processing my new photos into HDR photos. I also started post many old photos I took from 2008 back to 2005. I spent 6 months backpacking in China in 2006 and took more 10K photos. There are a lot of them need to be post here! Stay tune! More to come!
Followed some of my favorite photographers and joint Photoblogs.com. Start building the readership. Photoblogs is a great place to find out what other people are seeing around the world. You are welcome to give it a LIKE. Thanks!
I am officially entering into HDR Photography world. Download the Photomatix Pro trial and love what I see and can do with it. Star adding HDR images and playing with the software. I also add a new star rating system to see which photo people liked most. The blog starts getting some traffic from other photography blogs I visited and left comments. It’s a good start.
Adding photography blogroll. Got a comment from a long time blogger friend. What an exciting thing for the day. I am also digging into HDR photography.
Adding new post about the photos I took a long time ago. I also randomize the slide show to show image in different order every time the page is loaded.
This is the new beginning of my digital photography life. I have decided to separate my passion about digital photography and my entrepreneur journey. So I can focus on different things at different time.
The new digital photography site launched!
